The Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) is proud to recognize excellence in heart failure care through a variety of prestigious awards that will be presented at the HFSA Annual Scientific Meeting 2025 (ASM 2025).
These awards honor individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to the field. We invite you to submit recommendations for the following awards:
Awards to be Presented at ASM 2025
- HFSA Lifetime Achievement Award: Presented by the HFSA Board of Directors, this award recognizes individuals who have made a significant and sustained contribution to heart failure over their lifetime. Nominate someone whose lifetime body of work has profoundly impacted the field.
- HFSA Distinguished Leadership Award: This award celebrates leaders in heart failure who have excelled in education and mentorship. Recommend a leader who has guided and inspired others in the field.
- Distinguished HFSA Member Award: Intended for non-physician members of HFSA, this award celebrates a member’s body of work in heart failure and their service to the society. Nominate a member who has significantly advanced the mission of HFSA.
- HFSA Nursing Clinical Excellence Award: This award recognizes registered nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence in heart failure care. Recommend a nurse who works directly with heart failure patients, their families, and other healthcare providers.
- HFSA Nursing Research Leadership Award: This award honors extraordinary achievements in nursing research that improve outcomes for heart failure patients. Nominate a nurse whose research has advanced heart failure care.
- HFSA Pioneer Award: Given to innovators and pioneers in heart failure, this award recognizes HFSA members who have played a key role in advancing the field. Recommend someone who has set the stage for future generations of heart failure providers.
- HFSA Outstanding Heart Failure Care Team Award: This award celebrates the collective accomplishments of a heart failure care team. Nominate a team that has provided exceptional care through their collaborative efforts.
- HFSA Heartfelt Hero Award: This award honors heart failure patients or caregivers who have shown unwavering commitment to improving the lives of heart failure patients. Recommend someone who inspires others through their voice and actions in the heart failure community.
Your recommendations are crucial in recognizing and celebrating the dedication and impact of individuals and teams committed to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field. The next cycle for Awards opens on Monday, April 7, 2025.
How to Submit Recommendations
- Prepare Your Nomination: Gather all relevant information about the nominee, including their achievements and contributions.
- Complete the Nomination Form: Visit the HFSA website and fill out the nomination form for the specific award.
- Submit Your Nomination: Follow the instructions on the HFSA website to submit your completed nomination form.
