Get involved as a “participant” in an important APN research study! If you are not an APN, please share this newsletter note with APN colleagues!
Project Goal: to understand APN perceived knowledge, comfort in completing and frequency of applying patient care and procedural skill “competencies” when caring for patients with heart failure (HF). Topics are those that apply to general, non-specialty/advanced heart failure care. Topics were generated from an American College of Cardiology publication on APRN competencies.
Currently, it is unknown if the published competencies are truly consistent with APN knowledge, APN comport in completing each competency and the frequency in which each competency is applied in usual APN work.
To participate, you would complete a 1-time, anonymous survey housed in REDCap (a secure research database housed at Cleveland Clinic). This study was approved by the Cleveland Clinic Institutional Review Board. The Board allowed for snowballing, so you can share this note with colleagues and ask them to participate. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. A research information sheet is included on the survey site with study details.
We hope to be able to present results in 4th Quarter 2025 or1st Quarter 2026!
Investigators: Nancy Albert PhD, CCNS (Cleveland Clinic) and Sarine Beukian MSN, AGACNP-BC (Columbia University Medical Center).
