Advancing the Management of Heart Failure in Adult Congenital Heart Disease: Innovations, Timeliness, and Advanced Therapies

LVAD patients now enjoy longer survival due to fewer hemocompatibility-related adverse events. However, other complications have arisen to take their place, including late right heart failure, aortic insufficiency, external outflow graft obstruction, and complications with and without exit strategies. In this session, we review those real-life LVAD adverse events and facilitate contemporary and relevant discussions about their pathophysiology and treatment.
