Novel Heart Failure Therapies and Right Heart Function: Let’s Do Right by the Right Heart
In this session, we will begin with an overview of the use of multimodality imaging (echo, CT, MRI, 4D MRI) and resting and exercise right heart catheterization to assess right heart function and guide prognosis in heart failure patients. This will be followed by a discussion on the interplay between right heart function and mitral valve TEER, emphasizing the importance of baseline right heart assessment in clinical decision-making. The session will conclude with a review of right heart function evaluation and selection criteria for tricuspid valve TEER and replacement, including the impact of these interventions on right heart performance.
