Despite the well-established benefits of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), its uptake remains suboptimal. Innovative decision support tools have shown promise in improving GDMT optimization, with interventions targeting both clinicians (e.g., PROMPT-HF) and patients (e.g., EPIC-HF). However, translating these interventions into real-world practice presents challenges. Additionally, incorporating cost considerations into shared decision-making remains a significant hurdle. Panelists will share insights from ongoing studies, discuss emerging evidence, and highlight opportunities to refine decision support strategies to improve outcomes in HFrEF care.
