How To Session: Cardiogenic Shock
Cardiogenic shock carries significant morbidity and mortality, often resulting from various cardiac injuries that lead to reduced cardiac output and end-organ perfusion. Timely recognition is critical to improving survival. Accurate assessment of the severity and phenotype of cardiogenic shock is essential for guiding decisions regarding the use of vasoactive medications and temporary mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices.
This hands-on workshop will focus on the practical use of temporary MCS devices, including basic interpretation of device outputs, functional adjustments, and troubleshooting common alarms and complications.
