Scientific Session Coming Soon Comorbidities

This session will highlight the growing field of cardio-obstetrics and its intersection with heart failure. There is increasing recognition that pregnancy serves as nature’s stress test, and some women may not tolerate the hemodynamic demands of pregnancy due to underlying cardiovascular risk factors or overt cardiovascular disease. In addition, certain forms of cardiomyopathy can present de novo during pregnancy. Adverse pregnancy outcomes and their association with future heart failure risk will also be explored during this session.
