Demystifying Diagnosis and Treatment of Iron Deficiency in Heart Failure
Heart failure (HF) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States, with a prevalence that is expected to increase from about 6 million today to more than 8 million by 2030. A growing body of evidence pinpoints iron deficiency (ID) as an important comorbidity of HF, affecting more than 50% of patients with stable HF. Although the correction of ID is critical to improve outcomes in patients with HF, clinicians often overlook ID when providing HF care.
Join our panel of experts for an engaging educational symposium to learn about the impact of ID on patients with HF, and leave with a greater awareness of current guidelines and best practices to diagnose and treat ID in patients with HF, including the role of intravenous iron in these patients based on clinical trial data.
