Challenges in Diagnosis and Management of Cardiac Amyloidosis

This session will focus on the challenges in diagnosing cardiac amyloidosis including controversies in imaging and deciphering light chain studies in AL amyloidosis. We will also discuss how to interpret common genetic mutation in ATTR including incomplete penetrance and how to follow an asymptomatic carrier. Management challenges in complications of amyloidosis including autonomic dysfunction, arrhythmias, and use of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators in amyloidosis will also be discussed.
