Nicolas Palaskas, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Palaskas completed cardiology fellowship and internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He serves as the cardiology deputy chair of research. His main clinical interest and research interest is in immune checkpoint inhibitor myocarditis. Dr. Palaskas has received three grants related to the diagnosis and surveillance of myocarditis; Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas Early Clinical Investigator Award, Sabin Family Foundation Fellowship, and Division of Internal Medicine Research Development Award. Additionally, Dr. Palaskas co-leads institutional efforts to harmonize immunotherapy toxicity research in terms of automated data collection and longitudinal biospecimen collection.
