HFSA's 2021 Patient and Caregiver Day seeks to foster a robust opportunities for interactive discussions between patients, caregivers, and heart failure experts. Experts will start and moderate the conversation with attendees on a variety of topics important to the heart failure community to provide for a two-way exchange of ideas. Notably, the program will feature Richard Collins, MD, "the cooking cardiologist," who will offer a heart-healthy cooking demonstration and co-lead in a discussion on managing diet, exercise, and mental health.
The event will also include lunch for attendees and a networking opportunity, in which table top exhibits from participating sponsors and partners will be displayed.
- Provide easy to understand and engaging patient education on all aspects of heart failure treatment and management
- Help patients and caregivers understand heart failure and empower them to discuss management and treatment options with their healthcare provider
- Encourage patients to utilize resources available to them in their community that offer support and encouragement in the management of heart failure
