Fellowship is one of the most distinguished designations the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) offers its members. It is a recognition of tremendous professional achievement and contributions to the Society as well as to heart failure medicine. HFSA Fellowship identifies you to peers and patients alike as a dedicated heart failure professional at the top of your field.
 
Being elected to Fellowship is a testament to an individual's dedication to providing high-quality heart failure care. Those who earn the FHFSA designation signal to their peers and patients their commitment to excellence in this specialized field. Fellows benefit from enhanced knowledge of heart failure issues and gain valuable professional experiences that enrich their careers and professional development.

Eligibility for Fellowship recognition is open to individuals from any discipline or profession, provided they meet the necessary criteria. This inclusive approach ensures that a diverse range of professionals can contribute to and benefit from the Fellowship program.

To qualify for the program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be a current member of HFSA in good standing for at least two consecutive years 
• Hold a certification in heart failure appropriate for your degree 
• Devote at least 50% of your professional time to the broadly defined fields of heart failure, cardiac transplantation, mechanical assist devices, or heart failure research
• Submit two letters of recommendation from HFSA leadership or an active FHFSA member

The next cycle for Fellowship applications begins January 13, 2025. Interested members are encouraged to review the roadmap provided for all member types and submit their applications. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals to advance their careers and be recognized for their contributions to heart failure medicine.
