HFSA President Dr. Michael Felker: A Vision for Heart Failure Care

He highlights HFSA's commitment to funding research through Heart Failure Research Foundation and addressing the decline in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology (AHFTC) fellowship applications. “It’s a pivotal time in heart failure care with so many treatment options. We need to energize the next generation to lead this transformation.”

Dr. Felker also underscores the challenges of delivering equitable access to therapies like GLP-1 agonists and the importance of personalizing care for HFpEF patients. As he notes, “The future of heart failure care is precision medicine.”
