Clinical Research Mini-Grants Available for HFSA Annual Scientific Meeting - National Harbor - Washington DC

HFSA Clinical Fellowship Funding

The HFSA is seeking applications for Clinical Research Grants. The Mini grant physician fellowship is designed for individuals seeking specialty education and clinical training in the area of heart failure. At the time of award initiation, the awardee should have no more than seven postdoctoral years (excluding personal leave). Individuals with faculty appointments (above Instructor level or no more than three years at the Assistant Professor level) are not eligible for this fellowship award. Preference will be given to those whose research is a bridge or can be translated into the clinical care of patients with heart failure.

Candidates who have a doctoral degree in medicine or osteopathy may apply. Candidates shall have been - and shall intend to continue to be - directly involved in patient care. Awards will be restricted to US and Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents.

How to Apply

  • Download the research application
  • Please fill out the form and email to lharley@hfsa.org by May 1, 2015 for consideration

The submissions deadline is Friday, May 1. Only one application per research laboratory will be considered for this award.

Up to 8 one-year fellowship clinical research mini-grants with allowable funding of up to $10,000 each will be selected.  Grant considerations will include clinical research for both adult and pediatric heart programs.

HFSA thanks Medtronic for their generous support of fellowship grants that will allow early career physicians an opportunity to pursue heart failure research and education
