Call for Volunteers Extended – Submit Nominations by this Tuesday, May 5th

Thank you to all the HFSA members who have already completed an application to volunteer. The response has been good, but we still need you to get involved. There are a number of great committees to be a part of. Two that may be of interest are the Advocacy Committee and the Digital Communications Committee.

Advocacy Committee: Support policies that improve the care and outcomes of patients with heart failure and promote policies that will favor preventive programs.

Digital Communication Committee: Develop and oversee appropriate content for the HFSA website and social media outlets such as the HFSA FaceBook page and Twitter accounts. Committee members will also review press releases.

Your commitment and vision as a member is what drives the future and the success of HFSA. Now more than ever, we are a multi-disciplinary organization that values input from all member interests. As a member you have the opportunity to help shape HFSA and make important contributions to its future, but you can’t impact decisions unless you participate in and provide a voice in leadership activities.

The opportunity to become involved on a committee will soon come to a close. HFSA is a member driven society so I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and help impact decisions, policies, programs and the future of your society.

Be an active HFSA member! Getting involved helps you develop professionally, facilitates networking with other key heart failure leaders, and can impact heart failure care on a national level.
