• Lectures on key topics, including: the current state of devices in heart failure, novel devices entering testing, cutting-edge decongestion strategies, the critical role of diuretics and hemodynamics in cardiology.

Plan to attend and support this program by exhibiting and / or purchasing a branded sponsorship opportunity. The device meeting will be held on the 2nd level of the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC). Review the 2nd level branded sponsorship opportunities. Prior to the cancellation of ASM in 2024, there were over 300 registered attendees and 40+ exhibitors. Registration had reached capacity showing high interest in devices in heart failure.

There will be two sessions focused on trials: Trial Tinder and Heart Tank – The Future in the Making. See the Heart Tank and Trial Tinder drop-down for details and an application.

NEW IN 2025: Exhibitors will be invited to submit applications to present clinical trials (preferably focused on novel technologies) for consideration to be included in the HFSA Devices in Heart Failure Meeting: From Mechanisms to Implementation. There will be two sessions focused on trials: Trial Tinder and Heart Tank – The Future in the Making.

Trial Tinder is intended for device companies that are running a trial (in process phase 1 or 2) and Heart Tank is intended for device companies that are pre-clinical or in early planning and looking for sites or companies about to launch into a trial. 

The focus of the trials should be relevant to the state and use of devices and technologies in heart failure. Submission of trials at different stages of development is encouraged, and the HFSA Device Education Task Force will consider all applications and select a small subset of eligible submissions to be offered participation in one of the two sessions. 

Trials can only be presented in one of the two sessions. To submit, please download and fill out the linked application. The complete application should be emailed to aleong@hfsa.org. The deadline to submit applications is July 15, 2025, and notifications will be sent by end of July.

Trial Tinder

60 minutes

Looking for a perfect match? Are you a trial looking for a site or a site looking for a trial? During Trial Tinder, sponsors and primary investigators of trials in phase 1-3 will woo for clinical sites!  

For device companies that are running a trial (in process phase 1-3)  

• Companies chose the presenter – Preferably a clinician.  
• Two categories, Acute HF and Chronic HF.  
• 5 minutes talk per trial, 30 min total for each category. 
• Finalists will receive the opportunity to publish a Brief Report in a special HFSA Devices in Heart Failure Meeting section in an issue of the Journal of Cardiac Failure (JCF) 
• Trials submitted to Trial Tinder cannot also be submitted to Heart Tank.

Heart Tank – The Future in the Making

50 minutes

This session will not only exhibit novel device-based therapies in heart failure in the preclinical or early clinical stage, one trial will be selected as the winner of Heart Tank! Who walks away with the prize? 

For device companies that are pre-clinical or in early planning and looking for sites or companies about to launch into a trial. 

• Companies choose the presenter, who can be a trial representative.  
• Talks will each be 5 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes of Q&A 
• 5 companies to be selected in total.  
• Trials submitted to Heart Tank cannot also be submitted to Trial Tinder. 
• Finalists will receive the opportunity to publish a Brief Report in a special HFSA Devices in Heart Failure Meeting section in an issue of the Journal of Cardiac Failure (JCF)
